Engine". Describes the unique Fairchild Caminez Model
447-Cam-driven 4 cylinder engine. Harold Caminez was

from the "Aeromotion Company" who were the exclusive

inline air cooled engine manufactured by the Dayton Airplane

Description of The Martin 333 Aircraft Engine". Written by
E.C. Burghduff, sales engineer for the G. L. Martin Co. Reprinted
from 'Aviation Engineering', April 1931. Reprints were sent out
by companies to enhance sales. Good condition. $25.00
[CS3548] 6" x 9" 6 panel brochure on "The
Moore-Power Three Valve Engine". This 5-Cyl. Radial, 144 hp.
engine was built by the General Airmotors Co. of Scranton, Pa.
Each cylinder had two (2) intake and one (1) exhaust valve. Circa

[CS3555] 5-1/2" x 8" Single-sided sheet from the
Gyro Motor Co. of Washington, DC. Promotes their 110 hp., nine
cylinder engine. Dated January 7, 1915. Has been folded in half,

"Heath-Henderson Aircraft Motor". This was issued By
Heath Aircraft Co. rather than the earlier Heath Airplane Co.

Spartan Aircraft Co. for the manufacturing rights of the
Czechoslovakian Walter 120/135 hp. radial engine. Includes a
general description and specifications. Circa 1930. Brochure has

[CS3566] 6" x 9-1/2" 4 page brochure on "The
'Bliss' Titan Aircooled Aero Engine". This Series II, 5
cylinder, 200 hp. radial engine was manufactured by E. W. Bliss
Co. of Brooklyn, NY. under license from the Bristol Aeroplane
Co., England. Describes the engine and its specifications. Circa

"The 'Bliss' Jupiter Radial Aircooled Aero Engine".
Provides specifications and performance description of this
series of engines manufactured under license from the Bristol
Aeroplane Co., England. Circa 1930. VG+. $100.00
[CS3568] 8-1/4" x 10-3/4" 8 page sales brochure
on the "Bliss" Jupiter Radial Air-cooled Aero Engines.
One page is devoted to the engines' specifications. Brochure has

[CS3570] 8-1/2" x 11" 6 panel pamphlet (opens to
21-1/4" x 11") on the Franklin Model 4AC-150, 4 cyl.
horiz. opposed aircooled 50 hp. engine. Bulletin No. 15 gives a
technical and system description. Pamphlet is unusual in that
Piper Aircraft Corp. of Lock Haven, PA. seems to be the issuer.
Dated 1938. VG minus with several small closed tears. $60.00
[CS3571] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page brochure entitled
"21 Engineering Features that Distinguish Warner Scarab 30
Series". Details the major points that gave these engines
exceptional quality and durability. Circa 1935. VG. $35.00

"Axelson Airplane Engines" of Los Angeles, CA.
Describes the specifications and performance of their 150 hp,. 7
cylinder engine. Circa 1932. Brochure designed to fold in half.

[CS3585] 4" x 9" 4 page brochure on "The
Brownback C-400" 80 hp. 6 cylinder radial engine.
This engine does not follow the normal design of an odd number of
cylinders. Describes the various features of the engine,
including that it uses mineral oil lubrication. Circa 1920. Small
stain at top left corner of brochure. VG. $50.00
[CS3592] 8-1/2" x 11" Two-sided sheet on the
Brownback "Tiger C-400" engine. Sheet announces a
reduction in the list price of the engine and that a Kansas City
Service Parts Depot has been opened to better serve customers.

entitled: "COMET Aviation Engine". Describes the seven
cylinder 150 hp. engine and its attributes and parts. The Comet
was manufactured by Aircraft Engine Company of Oakland, Calif. A

[CS3602] 5-1/4" x 7-1/4" 6-panel pamphlet issued
by Lycoming entitled "Lycoming - Smoother and Quieter".
Describes the new nine cylinder engine, with photo of the engine
as well as a Stinson Reliant on the inside panels. Circa 1937.

[CS3603] 5-1/4" x 7-1/4" 6-panel pamphlet issued
by Lycoming entitled "Lycoming Operates with Equal
Efficiency in Sub-Zero and Tropical Climates". Discusses the
fact that Lycoming engines operate throughout the world and their
service can be counted on in all parts of the globe. VG+. $35.00
[CS3608] 7-1/2" x 10-5/8" 12 page brochure issued
by the Hall-Scott Motor Car Co. on the Type L-4 125 hp. 4
cylinder inline airplane engine. Describes the engine, its
specification and performance. In addition a vintage photo repro.
of the Model L-6 is included. Circa 1918. Very scarce. VG. $70.00
[CS3609] 8-7/8" x 12" two-sided advertisement for
Warner "Scarab" engines. Front has a letter giving
endorsement and rear shows a picture of Miss Billie Dove (Movie
Star) and her Mohawk 'Pinto' seaplane. VG with minor tear to

14" Double sided advertisement for MENASCO featuring the
Menasco M-50 4-cylinder horizontally opposed 50 hp. engine. Front
side shows large photo of the engine. Rear provides
specifications and performance details. This is a handout reprint
of an advertisement that appeared in the Feb. 1938 issues of
'Aviation' and also 'Aero Digest'. (This item too large to scan.
Please contact us if you would like to see an image of it.) Sheet
has been folded in sixths. Good condition. $20.00
[CS3612] 8" x 11" 4 page brochure issued by
World's Motor Company, Bloomington, Illinois on the Frederickson
Model 5A. This was a 5-cylinder, 2-cycle, air-cooled 70 hp.
engine. Provides brief specifications and photo of the parts of
this early engine. Circa 1920. Rare. VG with small tear to top
edge. $60.00
[CS3613] 8-1/4" x 10-7/8" 4 page brochure issued
by Lycoming Manufacturing Co., Williamsport, PA. Brochure is on
the '9 Cylinder Static Air Cooled Radial'. Includes the
specifications and hardware of this early Lycoming 185 hp.
engine. One might think static means the version made for WWII
tanks. In this case 'Static' is the way they differentiated from
the rotary type engines of the WWI period. Circa 1925. Scarce.
Upper right hand corner has been wet, causing some damage to the
text on pages 2 & 3. Brochure has been folded in half. Good

[CS3618] 9-1/8" x 6-1/4" 16 page brochure issued
by the Thomas-Morse Aircraft Corp., Ithaca, NY. Entitled
"Thomas Aeromotors", it describes the construction and
specifications of the Model 8, V-8, 135 hp. engine and shows its
installations in the H-S Seaplane, L-W-F military aircraft, and
the Thomas D-5 military aircraft. In addition it describes the
Model 88 engine which was derived from the Model 8, the
difference being a savings in weight of a hundred pounds through
the use of aluminum to replace the cast iron cylinders. Extremely

[CS3619] 8-3/4" x 11-1/4" 4 page descriptive
folder issued by the B. F. Sturtevant Co., Hyde Park, Boston, MA.
The four single-sided sheets provide a detailed technical
description of the Model 5 140 hp. eight cylinder Vee engine. One
page of (2) photos, 2 pages of text, and one page of drawings. A
light blue wrap around cover sheet is riveted to the top of the
pages in order to provide protection when folded. Circa 1920.

Menasco Motors, Los Angles, CA on the 4 cylinder, inverted, 90
hp. 'Pirate' engine. Describes the engine as well as providing
specifications. A date of May 8, 1930 has been rubber stamped on

[CS3624] 5-1/4" x 8" 42 page"Instruction and
Parts Book - The Comet Aviation Engine". Covers the seven
cylinder 150 hp. engine built by the Aircraft Engine Corp. of
Oakland, CA. Provides the specifications, performance, details on
care, maintenance and top end overhauling. An additional 6 page
plus fold-out supplement details the Stromberg Model NA-S5A and
NA-S5B carburetors used on the engine. VG. $75.00
[CS3625] 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" 32 page "Engine Log
Book" which covers a Wright J5C 220 hp. engine (S/N 7713)
which was installed in a Dept. of Commerce 'Laird' built aircraft
(Reg. NS-9). Only the first two pages of the log have been filled
in between 13 October and 8 November, no year designated. VG.
