Details of the new Boeing 247 aircraft along with ground and wireless systems supporting the airlines, as well as info on maintenance and routes provided by United Air Lines. Circa 1932. [CS0704] 8-3/8"x 10-3/4" Single-sided sheet advertising "Wasp Bellanca Skyrocket" for sale by Pacific Aircraft Sales Company. ($9,000) Describes aircraft instrumentation and accessories and fact it was just overhauled by United Airlines. Circa 1932. Several light creases, possibly from mailing in envelope. $15.00

[CS0713] 5-7/8" x 8-7/8" 20 page booklet entitled "Strange As It Seems" by John Hix and compliments of United Air Lines. Describes, in a "Ripley's Believe It or Not" style, strange and unusual items associated with air travel and sites along the United route. Only the Boeing 247 is shown in sketches, implying circa 1934. VG. $35.00

[CS0716] 5" x 7-1/2" 32 page booklet entitled "Across the Skyways with United Air Lines". Provides a description of planes, personnel, operating methods and narrative of flights over UAL routes. Issued before United Aircraft &Transport Corp breakup in Oct. 1934. VG+. $85.00

[CS0718] 8" x 9-7/8" single sheet, double-sided flyer advertising "Pertinent Information on United Air Lines". Describes their services as well as customer comments. This was issued to stockholders as part of the annual report. Circa 1934. VG+. $25.00

[CS0719] 8-3/8" x 11" 4 page brochure "United Air Lines Announces: General Fare Reductions". UAL was made up of Boeing Air Transport, National Air Transport, Pacific Air Transport and Varney Air Lines during this period. Circa 1934. Has been folded in thirds to fit envelope. Some water damage and loss of paper due to peeling pages apart. Fair condition. $40.00

[CS0721] 4" x 9" (opens to 8" x 9") 16 panel United Air Lines timetable. Dated June 20, 1933. Cover shows a Boeing 247 above a route map of UAL. Although not stated it is one of UAL's earlier timetables when it was still a subsidiary of United Aircraft and Transport Corp. (See also items CS0714, CS0717, and CS0720.) VG. $65.00

Watson, U.S.N. b) 8"x 10-1/2" United Airports of Conn. invoice for 22 gallons of fuel & 2 quarts of oil; Aircraft No. 7821 of the Naval Air Station, Annochia, DC. Signed by Comdr. C.A. Powell, U.S.N. [CS0607] 6-1/4" x 9-1/4" 8 page invitational brochure to the dedication of Rentschler Field and the U.S. Army Exercises of May 24, 25, and 26, 1931. Lists guests of honor including: Herbert Hoover, Wm. Boeing, Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, and many famous others. Soft white cover with embossed eagle. Last page has photo of Rentschler field and hangar pasted in. Very light soiling to rear cover, else VG. $30.00
