Includes two original screw posts (removed from scan to better show locations of holes). Circa 1928. VG. $75.00

[CS0515] 8-3/4" x 11-1/2" 40 page sales brochure on the "Sikorsky Amphibion S-38 - 1930 Model". A very rare descriptive brochure with many photos and illustrations, printed on glossy paper. Cover is a process known as "Autochromography" and was done by Andrey Avinoff. Wear along edges of oversized covers. Interior pages are VG+. $200.00

[CS0516] 8-1/2" x 11" 20 page sales brochure on the "Sikorsky Amphibion S-38". Descriptive brochure on the advantages of an amphibian over land based aircraft, plus a comprehensive technical description of the S-38. Very rare as with most Sikorsky items. This brochure was issued when Sikorsky was still located at College Point, NY. Circa 1928. Has General Motors Research Laboratories library stamp & label on cover. A sigle-sided 8-1/4" x 10-3/4" sales sheet with photo of the interior is also inserted in the back. VG minus. $225.00

[CS0517] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page sales brochure on the "Sikorsky Model S-38 Twin Motor Amphibian". This is from the period just before Sikorsky joined with United Aircraft and Transport Corp. The company was still located at College Point, L. I., NY. Brochure shows and discusses the earlier Whirlwind powered S-36 and describes improvements resulting in the Pratt & Whitney "Wasp" powered S-38. A very scarce and unique brochure. Circa 1928. [CS0518] 8-3/4" x 11-1/8" 24 page booklet on a Sikorsky S-38-B aircraft flight test. Dated September 13, 1929. The test covered: Performance, CG, and weight limitations. Report, numbered 114-13, is on ozalid copy. A very rare item. VG. $165.00

[CS0520] 8-1/2" x 11-1/2" 4 page brochure "Sikorsky Amphibion S-39". Details the new aircraft along with safety aspects. Color drawing of an S-39 is printed on cover on this version. [CS0522] 8-1/2" x 10-7/8" 4 page brochure on the S-42B and S-43. Contains performance, weight and technical specifications on both aircraft. Back panel states Division of United Aircraft Corp. Dated Jan. 1937. (See also CS0521). VG+. $95.00

[CS0523] 8-1/2" x 11" 8 page brochure on the S-42B, S-43, Flying Dreadnought, and a "Future Trans-Oceanic" concept aircraft. Provides performance, weights and dimensional specifications of the S-42 and S-43; the other two aircraft were considered confidential. Attractive color cover. Dated January 1938. VG+. $115.00

[CS0524] 8-1/4" x 11" 20 page brochure on the S-43 Amphibion. Provides specifications of the aircraft plus a technical write up. Cover has removable blue cellophane wrapper. 2 holes punched in left margin. Sikorsky business card is inserted in slots on first page. Also has a clear plastic "Range-Time Scale" paperclipped to map page. Circa 1936. VG. $150.00

[CS0526] Set of fourteen (14) sheets of microfilm containing over 700 pages of Igor Sikorsky's personal design notes from October 1926 up to August 1938. Periods covered are:Oct. 1926-Feb. 1927; Feb. 1928-Dec. 1931; Dec. 1929-Sept. 1930; May 1930-Feb. 1932; Dec. 1931-July 1932; April 1932-Nov. 1933; Dec. 1933-Aug. 1938. These were essentially the Flying Boat years. The originals pages were destroyed in Oct. 1977. In the mid-1970s UAC made a big push to get rid of any of what was considered "excess paper". This was the result. A extremely rare set of documents even though in microfilm form. Includes the 14 sheets of microfilm and print-outs of each of the 700+ pages in a 4-3/4" thick binder. Due to its size, this item will cost more to mail. Please let us know your location and we will quote the P&H cost. $800.00

[CS0527] 6-1/4" x 9" 40 page manual entitled "Instructions for the Maintenance and Care of the Sikorsky Amphibion Type S-38". Circa 1934. Extremely rare. VG+. $400.00

[CS0528] 7-7/8" x 10-3/8" N.A.C.A. Aircraft Circular No. 79 entitled "The Sikorsky Twin-Engined Amphibian Type S-38 Model 1928". Issued August 1928. Contains 14 single-sided sheets of text, 1 page with 3-view drawing, and 2 sheets containing a total of 9 photos. Details the construction and technical description of this famous aircraft. VG. $65.00

[CS0529] 59" x 34-1/4" Blueprint of the XP2S-1entitled "Gross Weight Balance Diagram, Bomber (2-500 Lbs. Bombs)". Drawing No. 10DL911. Dated June 4,1932. Folded to about 9" x 12". VG. $80.00

[CS0530] 22-7/8" x 11" Specification sketch of the "XPBS-1, S-44, U. S. Navy 4 Engine Patrol-Bomber". Dated 6-14-38. Provides the Dimensions, Areas, Weights, and other specs plus a side view and stations. Drawing has completely separated along one of the folds early on. Evidence of old tape repair remains. Good minus. $40.00

[CS0532] 58" x 33" 3-view drawing "Sikorsky Twin-Motored Amphibion S-41". (Drawing No. 3DW 308.) Dated March 11, 1930. Provides specification details of the aircraft. Note that one of the distinctive differences between the S-38 and the S-41 is the cowlings on the S-41's engines. This early drawing does not show the cowlings. VG. $65.00

[CS0533] 4" x 3-1/4" B&W glass slide of an artist's drawing of the S-40. Slide was done by the Affiliated Photographic Co., New York. The slide photo (2-7/8" x 2") has been copied from the Sikorsky press release of the aircraft and although dated 1933 is from a 1931 picture. (See item CS0502.) Unusual. $25.00

[CS0534] Sikorsky C-6A (S-38) negatives. A lot of forty-two (42) 7-3/4" x 9-3/4" original Sikorsky factory negatives of the Sikorsky C-6A (military version of the S-38). Image size is approximately 7-1/2" x 9-1/2". These photos were apparently used for a manual on the C-6A. They include several general views and many detail studio shots of sub-assemblies with part numbers. These irreplaceable negatives are on nitrate film, which should be kept away from any flames, sparks, etc. Some negs have a 1930 date visible. If interested please contact us for a list of the photos. Click on our stock number (above) for a sample shot. Definitely a one-of-a-kind item. Each negative is accompanied by a full-size print. Sold as a set of 42 negatives and prints only. $2,400.00
