[CS3592] 8-1/2" x 11" Two-sided sheet on the Brownback "Tiger C-400" engine. Sheet announces a reduction in the list price of the engine and that a Kansas City Service Parts Depot has been opened to better serve customers. Circa 1929. VG. $40.00

Caminez

[CS3510] 11" x 8-1/2" 12 page "The Caminez Engine". Describes the unique Fairchild Caminez Model 447-Cam-driven 4 cylinder engine. Harold Caminez was vice-president and chief engineer for Fairchild. Circa 1929. Brochure is designed to fold in thirds to 3-3/4" x 8-1/2". VG. $85.00

Comet

[CS3598] 6-1/8" x 9-1/4" 12 page brochure entitled: "COMET Aviation Engine". Describes the seven cylinder 150 hp. engine and its attributes and parts. The Comet was manufactured by Aircraft Engine Company of Oakland, Calif. A very rare brochure. Circa 1928. VG+. $120.00

[CS3624] 5-1/4" x 8" 42 page"Instruction and Parts Book - The Comet Aviation Engine". Covers the seven cylinder 150 hp. engine built by the Aircraft Engine Corp. of Oakland, CA. Provides the specifications, performance, details on care, maintenance and top end overhauling. An additional 6 page plus fold-out supplement details the Stromberg Model NA-S5A and NA-S5B carburetors used on the engine. VG. $75.00

Continental

[CS2001] 6"x 9" 16 page brochure "Continental Aircraft Engine". Describes the factory and manufacturing facilities plus a detailed description of the Continental A-70 7-cylinder radial engine. Circa 1930. The blank rear cover has spots where it was glued to a board or scrapbook, otherwise VG+. $60.00

[CS2007] 8-1/2" x 10-7/8" "Continential Red Seal" internal house organ. Volume V, Number 1 - November 1928. 20 pages. Only the first four pages are devoted to aircraft engines. Remainder concerned with automotive engines. Very slight dampness crinkling. Good + condition. $30.00

Curtiss

[CS1506] 8-5/8"x 11-1/8" 4 page brochure on "The Curtiss Crusader". Describes the six cylinder inverted engine and gives characteristics. Dated 1930. Please note: This item is too wide for our scanner. About 1/8" of the right side of the item does not appear in the scan. The border on the front cover is well centered on the actual piece. Residue of adhesive along spine edge of back cover, otherwise VG. $55.00

[CS1517] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page brochure on the K-6 engine. Describes the specifications and operational characteristics of this engine. Circa 1920. VG. $55.00

Dayton

[CS3543] 6-1/4" x 9-1/4" 4 page brochure "The Dayton Bear Engine". Describes this four cylinder inline air cooled engine manufactured by the Dayton Airplane Engine Company. Circa 1929. VG minus condition with rubber stamp to front cover. Original fold was slightly off - corners do not meet up. Brochure has been folded in half. $50.00

De Havilland

[CS4065] 9" x 11-3/8" 8 panel brochure (opens to 18" x 22-3/4") issued by The De Havilland Co., Ltd., Stag Lane Aerodrome, Middlesex, England. Entitled "Gipsy Aero Engines", it includes a technical description of the three variations of this engine and a detailed description of the specifications and construction. Circa 1935. Folds are tender, with minor tears. (2) errata slips pasted to brochure. Good condition. $65.00

[CS4031] 8-3/8" x 6-5/8" 8 panel brochure ("Twice Round the World Untouched") on the De Havilland 100 hp. "Gipsy" four cylinder inline air cooled engine. Circa 1935. Folds are weak, else VG minus. $60.00

[CS4015] 5-5/8" x 7-3/8" 6 panel brochure on the engines manufactured by Farman. Text in French. Circa 1925. Minor tear along one fold. Has GM Research Lab rubber stamp and label on front cover. Good + condition. $40.00

Fiat

[CS4042] 5-5/8" x 10" 6 panel pamphlet with additional sheet inserted. Issued by Fiat, Torino, Italy and entitled "Fiat Motori D'Aviazione". Italian text provides brief description of the various engines and aircraft utilizing them. Covers A 24 R, A 70, A S 6, A 30 RA, A 78 RC, A 59 R, and A 33 RC. Back panel lists technical details in a table format for easy comparison. Circa 1935. VG minus. $75.00

[CS4003] 8-5/8"x 11" 6 panel pamphlet "Fiat Engines at the Second Annual New York Aviation Show". Illustrates the Fiat Type A55 and A50 engines along with data on other Fiat engines. Includes specifications. Back panel describes records held by Fiat powered aircraft. February 1930. Tears to folds. Small piece missing from bottom corner, else VG. $45.00

Frederickson

[CS3612] 8" x 11" 4 page brochure issued by World's Motor Company, Bloomington, Illinois on the Frederickson Model 5A. This was a 5-cylinder, 2-cycle, air-cooled 70 hp. engine. Provides brief specifications and photo of the parts of this early engine. Circa 1920. Rare. VG with small tear to top edge. $60.00

Gnome

[CS3518] 8-1/4" x 10-7/8" Letter and envelope from the "Aeromotion Company" who were the exclusive American agents for Gnome motors. Water damage and pieces missing. Please see scan. Dated 30 October 1911. Poor condition. $40.00

Hall-Scott

[CS3608] 7-1/2" x 10-5/8" 12 page brochure issued by the Hall-Scott Motor Car Co. on the Type L-4 125 hp. 4 cylinder inline airplane engine. Describes the engine, its specification and performance. In addition a vintage photo repro. of the Model L-6 is included. Circa 1918. Very scarce. VG. $70.00

Heath-Henderson

[CS3563] 5-1/2" X 8" Single sheet "Heath-Henderson Aircraft Motor". This was issued by Heath Aircraft Co. rather than the earlier Heath Airplane Co. Circa 1930. VG minus. Sheet has been folded. $40.00

Hispano-Suiza

[CS4019] 8-5/8" x 5-7/8" 8 page Hispano-Suiza brochure issued as a souvenir to celebrate the 1930 Paris-New York transatlantic crossing by Costes and Bellonte. French text. Dated 1932. Corporate library label on front cover. Good + condition. $85.00

Isotta-Franschini

[CS4058] 9" x 12" 60 page brochure issued by Isotta Fraschini, Milano, Italy and entitled "Aviation - Isotta Fraschini's contribution to Italian Aviation". This was a presentation given at the International Civil Aeronautics Conference in Washington, DC. on 17 December, 1928. English text describes the company and the various engines and the aircraft that use them. The presentation was given to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Wright Bros. flight. Spine has small tear at top and 6" tear at bottom. Rubber stamp to front cover and title page. Good minus condition. $85.00

[CS4059] 9-1/2" x 11" 94 page brochure issued by Isotta Fraschini, Milano, Italy entitled "Aviation". French text describes all the aviation engines the company was manufacturing as well as picturing the various aircraft that used them. A very scarce and informative brochure. Circa 1926. VG minus. $90.00

[CS4060] 9" x 6-1/2" 8 sheet (printed on one side only) brochure issued by Isotta Fraschini, Milan, Italy and entitled "Moteurs D'Aviation". French text provides photo and specifications for the 170 hp. Type V 4 B of 1915-16, the 260 hp. Type V 6 of 1917-18, the 290 hp. Type V 8 of 1918, and the 310 hp. Type V 9 of 1919. Very Rare. VG. $120.00

Junkers

[CS4002] 6" x 8-1/4" 40 page brochure "Luftfahrt-Lehrbucherei - Band 18 - Die Deutschen Flugmotoren Jumo 205". Text in German. Provides exploded views, drawings, and descriptive specifications. Dated 1940. Very light water stain to bottom edge, else VG. $55.00

Kinner

[CS2504] 11-3/8" x 9-1/4" 24 page sales brochure "Kinner - Aircraft & Motors". Describes the Envoy, Sportwing, and Sportster Aircraft, giving specifications and dimensions. In addition, the C-7 300 H.P., B-5 125 H.P., K-5 I00 H.P. are described in detail. Circa 1930. Wear and chipping to (oversized) covers. Interior pages are VG. $150.00

[CS2511] 8-3/8" x 10-3/4" 4 page pamphlet entitled "The Kinner C-5 210 horsepower". Describes the construction and performance of the engine along with an installation sketch on the back panel. Circa 1930. VG. $45.00

Lycoming

[CS3602] 5-1/4" x 7-1/4" 6-panel pamphlet issued by Lycoming entitled "Lycoming - Smoother and Quieter". Describes the new nine cylinder engine, with photo of the engine as well as a Stinson Reliant on the inside panels. Circa 1937. Crease to front cover, otherwise VG. $35.00

[CS3613] 8-1/4" x 10-7/8" 4 page brochure issued by Lycoming Manufacturing Co., Williamsport, PA. Brochure is on the '9 Cylinder Static Air Cooled Radial'. Includes the specifications and hardware of this early Lycoming 185 hp. engine. One might think static means the version made for WWII tanks. In this case 'Static' is the way they differentiated from the rotary type engines of the WWI period. Circa 1925. Scarce. Upper right hand corner has been wet, causing some damage to the text on pages 2 & 3. Brochure has been folded in half. Good +. $50.00

Menasco

[CS3610] 10-1/2" x 14" Double sided advertisement for MENASCO featuring the Menasco M-50 4-cylinder horizontally opposed 50 hp. engine. Front side shows large photo of the engine. Rear provides specifications and performance details. This is a handout reprint of an advertisement that appeared in the Feb. 1938 issues of 'Aviation' and also 'Aero Digest'. (This item too large to scan. Please contact us if you would like to see an image of it.) Sheet has been folded in sixths. Good condition. $20.00

Michigan Rover

[CS3541] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page brochure detailing the 75 hp. "Rover" inverted four cylinder inline air cooled engine. Manufactured by the Michigan Aero-Engine Corp. Dated Jan. 1930. VG minus. Brochure has been folded in half. $45.00

Moore-Power

[CS3548] 6" x 9" 6 panel brochure on "The Moore-Power Three Valve Engine". This 5-Cyl. Radial, 144 hp. engine was built by the General Airmotors Co. of Scranton, Pa. Each cylinder had two (2) intake and one (1) exhaust valve. Circa 1929. VG minus. $65.00

[CS3571] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page brochure entitled "21 Engineering Features that Distinguish Warner Scarab 30 Series". Details the major points that gave these engines exceptional quality and durability. Circa 1935. VG. $35.00

Wright

[CS3625] 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" 32 page "Engine Log Book" which covers a Wright J5C 220 hp. engine (S/N 7713) which was installed in a Dept. of Commerce 'Laird' built aircraft (Reg. NS-9). Only the first two pages of the log have been filled in between 13 October and 8 November, no year designated. VG. $25.00
