[CS5503] 5" x 8" 4 page sales pamphlet "Metz-Air-Car - Bleriot Type". The Metz Company, of Waltham, Massachusetts, were manufacturers of motor cars. They were licensed by Bleriot to build and sell their aircraft in kit form. Drawing of this Bleriot type aircraft on the front page. Circa 1910. Has been folded in half, and has light wear to outside edge. $225.00

[CS5504] 5-5/8" x 8-5/8" 6 panel pamphlet "The Beechcraft Model A17-F - Cruising Speed 210 Miles Per Hour". Gives the specifications of this specially built Staggerwing powered by a 690 hp Wright Cyclone engine. Circa 1934. Very rare. $115.00

[CS5541] 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" 2-sided price sheet ("Fokker Prices Reduced $4,000 to $13,000) of various Fokker aircraft. Also describes financing charges and required down payments for each aircraft using the General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Has been folded in half. VG+. $60.00

[CS5543] 11" x 8-1/2" 17 page technical brochure on the "Curtiss Commando - Model CW-20-C". This is a commercial version of the military C-46 design. Describes all the aspects of operation for use as a cargo transport. April 1943. Very scarce. VG+. $75.00

Describes the Vought "Corsair" biplane in both float and landplane configurations. Most of the text describes the Voughts' capability as an airplane manufacturer. Circa 1929 before joining UAC. [CS5559] 8-1/2" x 11" 12 page brochure on the "Curtiss-Wright Tanager". Describes the "Guggenheim Safe-Aircraft Competition" award winner and talks about the way this aircraft won the award. Circa 1930. Has been folded. VG minus. $145.00

[CS5562] 8-1/2" x 11" 32 page brochure entitled: "1932 Accomplishments of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation." Describes the various aircraft and engines, as well as the services performed by C-W. [CS5563] 8" x 10-1/2" 4 page De Havilland sales pamphlet: "The De Havilland Dragonfly (Type D.H. 90)". A 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" triangular piece is missing from the lower left corner. This affects some text inside. Dated 1937. Fair condition. $70.00

[CS5565] 8-1/4" x 11" 4-page pamphlet from the Detroit Aircraft Company with specifications and photos of three aircraft marketed by them. (The Ryan Brogham for Six, Lockheed Wasp Monoplane and Eastman 3-Place Flying Boat). Circa 1930. Good+ condition. $115.00

[CS5570] 3-1/2" x 8-1/2" 8 panel pamphlet entitled: "Facts About the Porterfield Airplane". Describes the "Porterfield Flyabout". Includes the specifications and prices of both the Velie and LeBlond powered versions. Porterfield Aircraft Corp., of Kansas City, MO. Circa 1935. Scarce. VG+. $90.00

[CS5573] 20-3/8" x 30" Bird 3-view blueprint. Drawn by Dan Howes and undated the drawing shows the 90 hp Kinner powered Bird aircraft. This drawing is typical of those sent out in the early 1930's upon request to young men building models. This print shows this type of use and has red pencil marks on it. Circa 1931. Scarce. Folds and wear. $45.00

[CS5574] 8-1/4" x 11" 6 panel pamphlet on "The New Ryan S-T". Shows the Menasco engine installation as well as photos and specifications of the S-T, S-T-A, and S-T-A Special. A mimeographed announcement letter from O. J. Whitney Co. of Jackson Heights, NY., who were authorized distributors, is included. The pamphlet is stamped with O. J. Whitney's address. Letter dated 1937. VG. $95.00

[CS5575] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page pamphlet from Kinner entitled: "The Sportster". This low wing Kinner powered aircraft could be flown as an open cockpit or could have an optional demountable top fitted. Pamphlet gives dimensions, specifications and prices. Circa 1933. Has been folded. Good+ condition. $150.00

[CS5577] 8-1/2" x 11" Letterhead from Universal Aircraft Co. of Ft. Worth, TX. Letter describes the $98.00 trainer the company was offering. Signed by Mr. C. D. Hibler and dated 18 June 1934. The original customer's request letter is included. Has been folded. Light wear. $45.00

[CS5578] 3-3/4" x 8-1/2" 8 panel pamphlet: "The New Improved American Eaglet for 1932". Describes the Series B-32, a 45 hp Szekely powered two-place high wing aircraft. Includes performance and specifications of this aircraft which was manufactured by American Eagle-Lincoln Aircraft Corp. of Kansas City, KS. Circa 1932. VG minus condition. $85.00

Describes the various aircraft in production at the time, including the then single-engined JU-52. Cover shows the giant-winged G-38 aircraft. Extremely Rare. Circa 1932. Includes general description and the construction of this aircraft which was built at the company's plant in Copenhagen, Denmark for this Berlin, Germany based company. Cover shows a Rohrbach RO III Seaplane in silhouette. Circa 1925. Rare and historically significant. VG. $350.00

[CS5589] 8-1/2" x 11" Double-sided sheet: "Introducing the 'Challenger' - Another Triumph of Mead Engineers". Describes the various kits available for making either the "Standard" or "Contest" model 'Challenger' glider. Circa 1932 (See 5588). [CS5590] 8-1/2" x 11" Single-sided sheet on the "Mead Challenger C-3" glider. Describes the specifications and kit prices. Issued before the official literature pamphlets were printed for this model. Circa 1932. Has been folded in thirds. VG. $30.00

[CS5591] 4-1/8" x 8-5/8" 16 page brochure "The Call of The Clouds" on the Gallaudet "Chummy Flyabout" Sport Model of 1919. This was probably the last aircraft Gallaudet made before slipping into oblivion. Brochure is string tied and has heavy paper covers. Rare. VG+. $355.00

Ex-N.A.C.A. files with their rubber stamps on cover. Back cover shows 3-view drawing of aircraft. Circa 1935. VG minus condition. $95.00

Describes and pictures in photos and 3 views the: B.H.11 (60 hp Walter powered two-place low wing monoplane); B.H. 21 (300 hp Hispano powered single-place biplane); B.H. 21J (430 hp Jupiter powered single-place biplane); B.H. 22 (180 hp Hispano powered single-place biplane); and the B.H. 26 (430 hp Jupiter powered two-place combat biplane). [CS5596] 8-1/8" x 10-1/2" (opens to 24-1/4" x 18-3/4") 12 panel pamphlet by Caudron- Renault on the "Phalene VIII" aircraft. Entitled: "Prototype de l'Aviation de Tourisme: Le "Phalene VIII". Powered by a 120/140 hp Renault 4-cylinder "Bengali" engine. This was a 4-place high wing aircraft that was capable of having its wings folded back for storage. A very colorful pamphlet with B&W photos and colored sketches. N.A.C.A. file rubber stamps on cover. Circa 1933. Wear to folds, including a 4" tear along one fold. Good minus condition. $110.00

[CS5597] 5" x 3" Advertising photo card of the Buhl Aircraft Company's Wright J-5 powered "Airster" Model CA3-A. Back of card gives specifications, performance and price of the aircraft. Buhl Aircraft Co. was located in Marysville, Mi. Circa 1932. VG. $30.00

[CS5599] 8-1/2" x 10-7/8" 4 page pamphlet from Avions Farman: "Description de l'Avion Limousine F. 70 - 300 hp Renault". Describes this four (4) passenger biplane. Back cover shows a 3-view drawing of this little known aircraft. Circa 1925. Front cover has lower right corner tape repaired and left hand margins show staple holes. Good+ condition. $145.00

[CS5603] 9" x 11-5/8" Advertising sheet for the Fairchild Model 22, powered by a 90 hp Gipsy engine. Sheet was designed to be folded and mailed as a flyer. Shows several photos and includes performance & specifications as well as price. Circa 1932. Near Fine condition. Has not been folded. $75.00

[CS5604] 3-1/2" x 6-1/4" 4 page pamphlet by the Cantilever Aero Company of New York City. Describes the purchase by Kerr Steamship Co. of the infamous Christmas 'Bullet' aircraft. Purpose of the purchase is described as to make mail deliveries to a steamship while at sea. Front cover has color drawing showing aircraft flying over ship, making a mail drop. Circa 1922. VG. $110.00

[CS5606] 8-7/8" x 3-1/2" 8 page booklet on the Aircraft Mechanics Inc. "Flyabout" aircraft. This is the company that took over the Alexander Aircraft factory of Colorado Springs, CO. The Flyabout Models D-1 and D-2 (Continental 37 hp and Szekely 45 hp engines, respectively) are shown. Circa 1936. VG, with price, in pen, on front cover. $110.00

[CS5609] 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" (opens to 13-7/8" x 12") pamphlet by Swallow Airplane Company of Wichita, KS. Entitled: "Follow the Swallow - America's First Commercial Airplane". Brochure covers the "Collegian" manufactured by the Aeronautical Corporation of America, Lunken Airport, Cinncinnati, OH. Single-sided price list of Collegian variants (single-seater, two-seater, etc.) included. Brochure dated 1934. VG. $175.00

[CS5615] 8-1/4" x 10-3/4" 6 panel pamphlet on the Liore et Olivier "LeO-21 Sanitaire" (Ambulance) aircraft. Pamphlet describes the aircraft in French, English and Spanish. Aircraft was a biplane type with either two engines (of 400-500 hp each). Cover has NACA file stamps and states it was received from the Paris office 14 December 1929. Rare. VG minus. $135.00

[CS5617] 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" 8 panel pamphlet from the "Nelson Aircraft Corp." of San Fernando, CA. Describes their "Bumblebee", the first production model auxiliary powered glider. This aircraft was designed by W. H. Bowlus, noted glider designer. Circa 1936. Good condition. $175.00

[CS5622] 10-1/2" x 9" (opens to 21" x 15-7/8") pamphlet on "The Parasol", made by Heath Airplane Company of Chicago. Includes the specifications and parts pricing for the amateur builder. A classic aircraft and rare piece. Circa 1930. Same as item CS5550 except with earlier pricing. Good minus condition with some tearing along folds. $160.00

[CS5623] 8-3/4" x 11-5/8" 8 page descriptive catalogue on the "Heath Super Parasol". Describes the specifications, costs and construction techniques. Circa 1932. Has been folded in thirds, with some small tearing along folds. Good minus condition. $215.00

[CS5624] 3-7/8" x 9-1/4" 4 page pamphlet on the Heath Super Parasol entitled: "Are You Trying to Get Started in the Airplane Industry?". Describes plan to sell amateur builder parts to build the Super Parasol in 11 groupings over a period of time. Circa 1932. Good minus condition. $95.00

[CS5626] 7-1/2" x 5-3/4" Single-sided sheet on the Heath Parasol. Describes how the aircraft was originally designed to use surplus Thomas Morse lower wings; however, because of high demand, inventories of these have been depleted and the construction of wings is now required. Printed on yellow paper. Circa 1932. VG. Has been folded to fit envelope. $40.00

[CS5627] 9" x 11-7/8" Single-sided flyer offering individuals the opportunity to be an agent and sell Heath "Parasol" Sports Planes. Paper is frail with minor chipping on left edge. Circa 1930. VG minus condition. Has been folded. $40.00

[CS5631] Three (3) Focke-Wulf issued three-view scale drawings. Two drawings are 11-1/2" x 8-3/8". These are of the FW 56 "Schuleinsitzer" (School Single-Seater) and the FW 44 "Stieglitz". The third drawing is about 10-1/2" x 8", and is of the FW 58B "Weihe". This drawing has been trimmed in size and was probaly the same size as the other two before trimming. All three drawings have been two hole punched for insertion in a binder. All drawings show 3-views and major dimensions. Dated 1935. Drawings have been folded. $45.00

This was one of the post-war automobile/airplane conversion aircraft. Describes the unique attributes of the vehicle as well as its specs. Conversion from plane to car took less than 5 minutes. This design was unlike others of this type which carried the wings with the car. In this design the wings/fuselage/tail were left at the airport while the car was used. [CS5820] 8-1/2" x 11" 4 page brochure on the "ACE" ("America's Premier Sport Plane"). Issued by Horace Keane Aeroplanes in 1920. Aircraft was the Model K-1. It used an ACE 4 cylinder engine which incorporated a Ford crankshaft and connecting rods. The engine had an aluminun block and developed 40 H.P. @ 2000 R.P.M. Rare. [CS5874] 11-1/4" x 9" 40 page technical sales brochure issued by Seversky Aircraft Corporation, Farmingdale, NY. Entitled: "Seversky X-BT Combination Trainer and General Utility Airplane". Brochure covers are a simulated hammered aliuminum texture. Details this aircraft which was a cross between the BT-8 and the P-35 aircraft. It was designed to be used as a transition trainer which could have either 220 sq. ft. wings or 250 sq. ft. wings, as well as pontoons or skis. Five different engines could be utilized. Circa 1936. [CS5880] Aeromarine technical sheets. Includes Report CA-9: "Performance of DH-4 Equiped with Aeromarine Variable Thickness Wing". Report appears to be complete and is (2) pages of text and (9) graphs. This was a program which increased the performance of the DH-4 for carrying the U. S. Mail. A DH-4 was modified and used an increased performance wing. Also includes a copy of a 3 page letter from the P. O. Dept. to Aeromarine describing performance of "Ship No. 299" while fitted with Aeromarine-2 wings. Payload was increased by 100%. Also, two page "Summary of Results" and single page of performance figures on a mail plane constructed by the Cleveland Depot. Dated 7/10/22. Unique. Good to Very Good condition. $115.00

[CS 5881] 8-3/4" x 11-1/2" 26 page Aeromarine document entitled: "Description and Design Data of Air Mail Night Service Airplane". Dated: January 8, 1924. Provides general description and specifications of this aircraft, designated the AM-1. Pages are done as single sheets on bluprint paper in a binder. Includes 10 pages of text, 2 page Table of Design Characteristics, 2 page Table of Weight Distribution, 6 pages of standardized data of Duralumin parts, fold-out 3-view drawing, 3 fold-outs of fuselage side-views, 1 page of specifications. This aircraft was one of the attempts of Aeromarine to stay in business. Only a test aircraft was built. Extremely rare. $210.00

[CS5882] 8-1/2" x 11" 19 page Aeromarine document entitled: "Proposed Design of the Aeromarine Air Mail Airplane" Dated: June 7, 1924. Provides the specifications and general description of the aircraft designated the BM-1. 17 pages done on single page blueprint paper. Two hand drawn 1/60 scale sketches (side-view & front-view) on graph paper were done by Mr. B. v. Korvin-Kroukouvsky (Aeromarine's Engineer in Charge of Design) who later became EDO's Chief Engineer. No aircraft were built. Extremely rare. $140.00

[CS5883] 21" x 16" Aeromarine blueprint No. 18293 which provides a 3-view of the Aeromarine AM-2 Mailplane. This was the third in a series of four mail planes Aeromarine tried to sell the government. None were successful. Dated: March 25,1924. Also included is a positive reading (blue lines on white) version of the blueprint. Aeromarine went out of business in September 1924. Unique. $85.00

[CS5884] Two (2) 8-1/2" x 11" letters between Mr. Paul G. Zimmermann, Aeromarine "Chief Airplane Engineer", and Mr. Boris v. Korvin-Kroukovsky Aeromarine "Engineer in Charge of Design". Letter from Zimmerman (dated Oct. 31, 1923) is a typewritten file copy done at Aeromarine. Also included is the original hand written letter from Zimmerman on Omaha, Nebraska hotel stationery (which asks for the copy to be made for the files). Letter to Zimmerman looks like a typewritten file copy (unsigned) and is dated May 16, 1924. Zimmerman's letter discusses the problems encountered and found during flight testing of the AM-3 Mailplane along with some suggestions for correction. Korvin's letter discusses speed of the AM-3. $40.00
